Who is Chatta?
chatta was developed over 3 years in hundreds of nurseries and schools as part of a project called “Talking With Technology” led by Chris Williams in partnership with a 20 member early years advisory team.
During this period Chris Williams and David Andrews also worked directly with children and staff in hundreds of schools across the UK and delivered training workshops and courses to thousands of primary, secondary and special school teachers sharing their own approaches to supporting progress across the curriculum in oracy, literacy and knowledge and understanding at all levels. In the field of classroom impact through approaches involving digital technology the combined insight of Chris and David earned them a global reputation as thought leaders, pioneers and high impact innovators.
Chris Williams and David Andrews developed the chatta process, model and training system along with support, evaluation and guidance from advisory consultants, speech therapists, early years practitioners and headteachers. The combination of vision, expertise and experience has led to impact in:

- Teaching children learning English as an additional language

Chris is a columnist for Teach Early Years Magazine and Special Children Magazine and has presented his work for: The National Literacy Trust National Association of Headteachers, UK Literacy Association, Westminster Education Forum, National Deaf Children’s Organisation and Children in Scotland and at conferences across the USA. He has advanced qualifications in teaching children with Special Educational Needs and Autism and jointly won the “Impact in Education” award at the 2016 Digital Awards jointly with David Andrews and Hull Children’s University.
David is internationally recognised as a pioneer in making an impact through classroom technology and his award winning blog “Mr Andrews Online” has millions of viewers from all over the world. He is a columnist for the Guardian Teacher Network.
David and Chris jointly direct chatta’s team of teachers, speech therapists, and consultants who all carefully match the impact of the unique chatta approach to the needs of schools and nurseries to deliver impact on pupil progress, staff proficiency and parent partnerships. chatta is currently being introduced on varying scales in the UK and overseas.
