Visit a Chatta Hub School: See Chatta in Action

Chatta HUB Schools offer an inspiring opportunity for teachers and leaders from other schools to see the transformative power and impact of Chatta in action in classrooms.

The sessions last 2 hours and include classroom demonstrations and a practical explanation of how the Chatta approach supports inclusive whole-class teaching, removes barriers to writing, strengthens oral language and vocabulary use, and helps support progress for all pupils, in all subjects, and all year groups in both mainstream and special schools.

Seeing the power, adaptability and simplicity of Chatta first-hand is frequently described as ‘transformational’, and ‘so simple but so powerful’. Why Chatta Works: The Research Behind It

Chatta is built on decades of educational research into language development, scaffolding, and
fluency-building.
✔ Scaffolding (Vygotsky). Step-by-step oral modelling helps pupils compose sentences confidently.
✔ Modelling (Bandura). Structured live demonstrations build expressive language and fluency.
✔ Cognitive Load Theory (Sweller). Chatta simplifies sentence composition, preventing overload.
✔ Multimedia Learning (Mayer). Voice, images, repetition, and sequencing strengthen memory and
comprehension.
✔ Speaking as a Bridge to Writing (Bruner, Tomasello). Pupils learn language best when speaking,
refining, and recalling it first.
Chatta ensures pupils engage deeply, understand fully, and compose effortlessly; helping them
thrive in every aspect of learning.
