A full term of Chatta, free of charge, for schools in the North of England

We're pleased to announce that schools in the North of England can now join Chatta for a full term at no cost. Supported by the SHINE Trust, this gives schools access to our complete training, support and resources. It also forms part of an independent impact evaluation with Nottingham Trent University, so the evidence for what Chatta helps teachers achieve in classrooms will be gathered and reported independently. Places are limited.

Whole-class teaching that removes barriers to learning

Chatta is a whole-class approach built on live modelling and audio-visual scaffolding. Barriers to learning are removed in the lesson itself, so there are no withdrawal groups and no separate interventions. Every child takes part in the same lesson, with the same curriculum, and has what they need to access it.

The impact is felt by pupils of all ages. Children build their spoken language and vocabulary, and they use it to explain their thinking with confidence. They understand more, remember more, and write about their learning with greater clarity. Teachers tell us it also simplifies planning and teaching, so the gains for pupils don't come at the cost of workload. Chatta is used by primary, secondary and special schools in all subjects at all levels.

Who is it for?

Chatta is a natural fit for schools that put inclusive classroom practice at the heart of what they do. It is a practical way to deliver Ordinarily Available Inclusive Provision (OAIP) as part of everyday teaching, rather than as something added on top.

It is especially valuable for schools that want to build progress for every pupil while closing gaps for those who need it most: children with additional needs, children who are new to English, and children from disadvantaged backgrounds.

What teachers say

"This is the most exciting thing I've seen in education for 20 years."
Jo Clegg, SENCo / Assistant Headteacher, St Anne's Catholic Primary School, Liverpool

"Children who needed extra support simply don't anymore. Not through intervention. Through teaching."
Sophie Follan, Deputy Head, Bursar Academy, Cleethorpes
