We are thrilled to announce that Chatta has made it into BusinessCloud’s EdTech 50 innovation
ranking for 2025!
The EdTech 50 celebrates UK businesses of all sizes creating technology for education and
workplace development. Readers of the online technology publication BusinessCloud and an
expert judging panel decided the 50 most innovative EdTech companies headquartered in the UK.
Chatta made the cut with our unique, inclusive whole-class teaching approach and software
platform, which is used by nursery, primary, special, and secondary schools to remove barriers to
learning and strengthen pupils’ language skills, independent writing confidence, and subject
understanding.
Chatta’s founder, Chris Williams, proudly stated, “We’d like to thank the organisers, judges, and
everyone who voted for us. Congratulations to the other brilliant innovations featured. Chatta is
changing outcomes and possibilities for children in many schools. Teachers and school leaders tell
us they love it and find its impact transformational and inspiring. We are always trying to spread
the word, and it means a great deal to us to be recognised by BusinessCloud.”
“This year’s EdTech 50 showcases the best of British firms developing technology for the
classroom and higher education, as well as professional development in the workplace,” said
Jonathan Symcox, editor of BusinessCloud. “It’s a privilege to shine a light upon companies of all
sizes leading the way via traditional technologies and emerging tech, including virtual and mixed
reality, artificial intelligence, and robotics.”
BusinessCloud called on its readers to vote for companies from the 105-strong shortlist over seven
days. A combination of these votes and choices from an expert judging panel determined the top
50.
The judging panel was comprised of:
– Rachel Vecht, founder, Educating Matters
– Caroline Wright, director general, EdTech Exchange
– Prof Janice Allan, pro-vice chancellor, academic leadership, UCLan
– Jonathan Symcox, editor, BusinessCloud
